Signing agreements

An agreement is an envelope with documents, participants and a signing flow. Here you will see how to create it, track it, and how the recipient signs.

Create and send an agreement

In Agreements → New you set a title, add one or more documents (with the search box), add participants, choose the flow (sequential, in order; or parallel, all at once), an optional expiry date and send it. Each participant gets an email with their link.

The agreement statuses are: draft, sent, in progress, completed, declined, cancelled and expired.

Sign a document sent to you

If you receive an agreement, you do not need a Certums account. You open the email link, review the document, give your consent and sign (drawn, typed or uploaded). It records who signed, when and with what consent. In a sequential flow you sign when your turn arrives; in a parallel one, at any time.

Reuse and automate

Agreement templates prepare documents, roles and flow in advance so you do not configure them each time. Message templates customize the emails to signers. Public forms let a person enter their name and email and automatically receive a document to sign. Bulk send generates one envelope per recipient from a list.

Signer identity

An identity check raises the «level» of a signature: beyond consent, it verifies who the signer is. Certums supports different identity options; they are bound to a specific signer when the case requires it.
